Rihanna made a stunning entrance at the Alaïa show held at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum during New York Fashion Week. The show, scheduled for 8:30 pm, saw the superstar arriving fashionably late by 30 minutes, capturing the attention of attendees with her striking ensemble. The iconic singer and fashion mogul donned a custom Alaïa crystal mesh dress inspired by Botticelli’s Venus, complete with a pearl-adorned cream satin thong corset and strappy heels.
Continuing the aquatic theme of her outfit, Rihanna’s look was embellished with pearls and crystal mesh, embodying an ethereal elegance. Earlier in the evening, she accepted The Daily Front Row Fashion Media Award alongside her stylist Jahleel Weaver at the Rainbow Room, where she sported another Alaïa creation—a whimsical cotton candy-like ruffled coat.
At the award ceremony, Rihanna found herself seated next to actress Liv Tyler, who was taken by surprise at the singer’s arrival. Tyler lent a helping hand, assisting Rihanna in untangling the crystal fishnet of her dress from a large diamond ring she wore. Rihanna’s appearance marked a debut of her new hairstyle—soft chocolate waves—a departure from the warmer honey shade she had been showcasing following the launch of her Fenty Hair collection at Sephora last month.
As Rihanna arrived at the Guggenheim, the museum’s rotunda was enveloped in a hushed anticipation. The helical ramp served as an unconventional runway for the models, setting a unique backdrop for the conclusion of a bustling first day of New York Fashion Week.
