A Romantic Sardinian Affair: Rebel Wilson and Ramona Agruma’s Intimate Wedding

Rebel Wilson and Ramona Agruma tied the knot in an exquisite private ceremony at Hotel Cala di Volpe in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Italy. The couple exchanged vows they had personally written, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the windswept waterfront. The ceremony took place at 5:30 p.m., with Wilson’s best friend Nicholas, a lawyer from London, officiating the event. Their 22-month-old daughter, Royce, and Rebel’s niece, Sovereign, added a touch of innocence and joy as the flower girls.

The couple’s choice of attire was nothing short of elegant. Both brides wore custom-made dresses designed by Pronovias. Rebel donned a princess-style dress, while Ramona opted for an A-line gown. As they walked down the aisle, four violinists played live music, setting a serene atmosphere for the momentous occasion. Rebel and Ramona chose timeless Tiffany & Co. rings to symbolize their union, reflecting their preference for minimal jewelry.

“We hadn’t heard each other’s vows until the ceremony, so it was really emotional to hear what we’d written,” said Ramona.

The ceremony featured a picturesque flower arch at the end of the aisle. As they exited, Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” filled the air, marking the beginning of their new life together. Rebel shared a touching moment from the evening when Ramona offered her an oversized cardigan as the temperature dropped.

“As the sun set, it was becoming really cold, and Ramona gave me her oversize cardigan to wear. She insisted that I wear it, even though it would make her cold. That’s just typical of the type of person she is. So giving, so loving!” Rebel remarked.

The reception that followed was held at Pedri Garden, a nearby restaurant renowned for its fresh Italian cuisine. Guests indulged in a variety of culinary delights, including burrata, salads, homemade ravioli, and risotto. The couple’s favorite dishes were also featured, such as baby spinach salad, chicken and shimeji tacos, and Matsuhisa-style vegetarian dumplings.

“We had a brilliant time. It was everything we’re about: family, good friends, good food and wine, and good entertainment,” Rebel expressed.

Lively performances by singers between courses kept the atmosphere vibrant and guests spontaneously danced throughout the night. The 20-person band played three sets of music from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., ensuring that the celebration remained energetic.

“Bob Iger had organized for a special area to be roped off surrounded by topiary trees for privacy,” noted Rebel regarding the exclusivity of their celebration.

Family played a central role in the ceremony, with Rebel’s family seated on one side of the aisle and Ramona’s on the other. This arrangement emphasized the importance of their families in this significant milestone.

“A lawyer in London, he can always be trusted to keep the crowd entertained as he’s a great speaker,” Rebel said about Nicholas’s role in their ceremony.

The couple cherished every moment shared with their loved ones in Sardinia.

“And when the ceremony was over, we felt so happy and grateful that all of our family and friends could join us in Sardinia,” Ramona shared.

Despite its remote location and the short notice given to guests, the stunning Sardinian setting added to the uniqueness of their wedding.

“The Sardinian setting was so gorgeous—it wasn’t exactly the most convenient place to have a wedding, especially with not much notice for our loved ones—but it was stunning,” Ramona reflected.

Rebel and Ramona took time after their wedding to unwind and spend quality moments together with their daughter Royce, relishing the start of their married life.
