Saoirse Ronan graced the 2024 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, bringing her trademark elegance and charm to the star-studded event. Known for her affection for the city, Ronan relished the opportunity to reconnect with her many friends in LA while indulging in the local culinary scene. Her evening culminated with an anticipated visit to In-N-Out, a tradition she maintains after such glamorous gatherings.
Ronan attended the gala with enthusiasm, particularly excited to present the Vantage Award to her friend, Paul Mescal. This year’s event honored Rita Moreno, Quentin Tarantino, and Mescal for their invaluable contributions to film. The distinguished gala, co-chaired by Salma Hayek Pinault, Nicole Kidman, Eva Longoria, and Tyler Perry, successfully raised over $11 million for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
On the red carpet, Ronan captivated onlookers in a high-octane Louis Vuitton ensemble designed by Nicolas Ghesquière. Her ensemble included a backless black column dress with a striking structured origami top, styled by Danielle Goldberg and complemented by Ana Khouri earrings. Ronan expressed her admiration for Ghesquière’s work, stating:
“The dress, to me, showcases how well Nicolas understands a woman’s body and the power it holds.” – Saoirse Ronan
She further elaborated on her outfit choice:
“What drew me to the outfit was its drama, its elegance, the structure above the bust, and the incredible back.” – Saoirse Ronan
Ronan’s stylist, Danielle Goldberg, played a key role in bringing this vision to life:
“Danielle helped me to see all of the beautiful intricacies of this dress and the story we could tell with it.” – Saoirse Ronan
The actress reflected on her preparation for such events, sharing insights from her experiences:
“Prepping for a gala is no different to prepping for an awards show. Only difference is we know who’s going to win an award that evening.” – Saoirse Ronan
She also shared a practical tip for post-event relaxation:
“Something I’ve learned over the years is that it’s always better to bring a friend if you can. Always have flats close by. And, before you head out for the night, schedule your In-N-Out order for after the event is done.” – Saoirse Ronan
Ronan’s night was not only marked by fashion and friendship but also anticipation for upcoming projects. With films like “Blitz” and “The Outrun” on the horizon, she has much to look forward to in the coming months. To set the tone for her gala day, she played the Brat album throughout her preparations.
