Kelce Brothers and General Mills Cook Up ‘Kelce Mix’ Cereal Fun

Travis and Jason Kelce, the NFL star brothers, are set to launch a new breakfast cereal called Kelce Mix in collaboration with General Mills. Scheduled to hit nationwide retailers in September, Kelce Mix will feature a blend of the brothers’ favorite cereals: Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, and Reese’s Puffs. The cereal will retail for $5.96 per box.

The idea for Kelce Mix originated from a discussion on the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” podcast last year, where they ranked their top cereals. For Travis, the favorites were Reese’s Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Lucky Charms. Meanwhile, Jason’s top choices included Reese’s Puffs, Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cheerios, and Honey Nut Cheerios.

The Kelce brothers grew up enjoying these cereals in moderation and have now decided to share their childhood favorites with their fans through Kelce Mix. In addition to the standard boxes, four limited-edition Kelces’ Pick collectible boxes featuring different cereals will also be released.

Despite the buzz around the new cereal, there has been some criticism regarding its nutritional value. Dr. Calley Means, a best-selling author, has voiced concerns about the health implications of the cereal for children. Similarly, Lesley Kumar, a nutrition consultant, suggests that healthier breakfast alternatives such as oatmeal, Greek yogurt with fresh fruit, and whole grain cereals should be considered. Registered dietitian Varsha Khatri pointed out that while Kelce Mix combines familiar breakfast cereals, specific ingredient information has not been disclosed.

The Kelce brothers have collectively won four Super Bowls and are excited about their venture into the cereal industry. They expressed their enthusiasm by stating that they are honored to take home this victory and feel inducted into cereal culture with Kelce Mix.

As the release date approaches, fans of both cereal and football can look forward to trying this unique blend that pays homage to the brothers’ favorite childhood breakfasts.
